Before I signed the contract with Chancellors to sell our house, David, who came to value our house, was extremely personable and friendly and even told me how honest he is. That should have sent alarms bells ringing. As soon as I had signed the contract, it became very difficult to contact him or anyone else in the office. I wasn't even given a copy of the contract I had just signed and the terms about selling after termination of the contract were not clearly highlighted to me, along with a few other terms of contract. I had to chase to get the photographer to take photos of our house and then I had to chase to get a copy of the brochure to approve before it went live and then I had to chase to actually get it online. My first week with Chancellors was hard work and I started to wonder what I would actually be paying them for. They seemed completely disinterested in selling our house and we only had six viewings in eight weeks and that included an open day where they only had two appointments booked. Since terminating the contract I have been sent a list of people introduced to our property and advised that should any of them make an offer on our house we will be liable to pay fees to Chancellors. The 'introductions' were actually just the repeated, automated emails all people receive who have registered with an estate agent and are completely ineffective as I also receive these same emails with houses I have discounted several times. They are beyond useless and I would avoid buying or selling anything with Chancellors.
The fees agreed were actually reasonable at 1%. The only positive thing about this estate agent.

As a recent buyer of a property in Windlesham, I found dealing with the Sunningdale branch of Chancellors incredibly user friendly. We were first shown around by James Fothergill, who, even after the offer was made and accepted was quite happy to meet us at the property and let us measure up for... Read Full Review

I am still distraught after my experience with Chancellors. On 11/10/2017 I viewed a property in Slough. The same day I made an offer which was accepted. On the 13/10/17 my guarantor and I were supposed to receive the Experian tenancy background checking application form. I did receive it, however ... Read Full Review

Chancellors Sunningdale are fixing their sign boards on peoples properties without permission or verification and then leave them there. When it is reported they ignore the complaint and do not return calls. They fixed a sign board to my fence with bolts and when told were not bothered about the... Read Full Review

We were very disappointed by the service we received from this agent. We paid a full deposit and one month's rent to secure a property. This was held for 11 days by the agent. We were then advised that the landlord had withdrawn the property. We then found out the property was owned by an... Read Full Review
