We originally dealt with Sewell and Gardner- however half way through our tenancy our apartment block was bought by Hetherington's. when we left the flat they emailed me regarding deposit to see if i would authorise the deductions- i replied immediately keen to receive the rest of my money they were holding. I was advised at that point that in 5 days time i would receive the money. SIX days later i receive an email saying that my partner has to also email authorisation when he never even received the email from them in the first place! They expected us to read their minds and instinctively know this. It then took them longer than they promised me to receive payment to inform us of this, meaning we are having to wait a further week to even receive the funds. They then email me to say they forgot to mention �60 rent is outstanding for the final 2 days in the property- I handed in my notice before the 2 months required and no one advised me that it would cost an additional �60 to stay to the date i had. If i had received the correct customer care i would have been made aware of this and moved a day earlier. They literally didn't care what so ever about my personal circumstance and how I needed this deposit to put forward to my next house. I barely even received an apology. Absolutely outraged.
