I have let my property through Hetheringtons several times and each time it was an unsatisfactory experience including: tenants not being properly vetted, repair works were shoddy and particularly high in price, tenants were recommended despite not meeting my essential criteria and I experienced undue amounts of pressure to accept them. Tenants were unsuitable and on more than one occasion could not afford the rent which I only found out subsequently. I had full management services but for the amount of chasing and repairs maintenance I had to do it didn't feel like a management service at all.

We arranged a viewing on Saturday at 5 o'clock. We called the agency to inform that we will be late 15m. No one picked up the phone. We texted the agency. No one replied. We arranged a viewing on Saturday at 5 o'clock. We called the agency to inform that we will be late 15m. No one picked up the phone. We texted the agency. No one replied. Next door ( thankfully not our neighbor) opened his door and asked how did we get in the building? This unprofessional so called agent pulled our happy mood down on a beautiful Saturday and we don't recommend these people to anyone.

I was renting a property in Loughton for 9 years. The tentancy ended on 31/10/15. Catherine, Elaine and their team provided us with an extremely professional yet also very personal service through the sale process. When issues arose (which they always will) they advised and guided us and were tenacious in getting resolution as quickly as possible. They always kept us in the loop and ensured we were appraised of progress: phone calls were always returned and emails replied to in a timely manner. I have recently purchased and sold my property using Hetherington's and have been extremely happy with the service I have received from Manager Catherine and the personal contact sales executive Ellie Robinson. Throughout the entire process of the sale and purchase I have been impressed (and assured) by thier professionalism. Ellie is very businesslike and has a refreshing honesty with her views which when you are buying and selling property is very important. She is efficient and leaves no stone unturned ! Catherine is a seasoned professional and was also very helpful during the two transactions. The 'team' at Hetheringtons were by far the most professional group we dealt with during our sale and search for a new property. I would have no hesitation in recommending the team at Hetheringtons.

From the 1st phone call with Rosemary i felt that i was dealing with a good agency, she listened to what i was looking for and suggested what she felt might fit the bill. At first i wasn't sure about her reccomendation, but she gave me a little nudge (without being pushy) and after the weekend we went and viewed the house. It was lovely just as she had described and we immediately had a good feeling about it. In Rosemary's absence we then dealt with Jackie and Simon, who dealt with us through the references and contract stage, they too were excellent, answering my questions and getting things sorted in general.

As an agent myself for over 20 years i know all to well that customers are quick to poor scorn on the industry when they recieve poor service, so know how nice it is when people acknowledge the good we do.

I was very impresed with the professional way Hetheringtons acted on the sale of my property, I used them about 5 years ago on another property and they were great, it's nice to see that their standards have not changed. They were the most realistic in their valuation of the property and a quick sale was gained. I can recommend their honesty, which to me is worth the earth! When selling a your home you want an agent that actully works for you because they want to, and Hetheringtons showed that. I was very very pleased.
