Flat itself is nice and fine - it's the running of it that is unacceptable. Fossgate House has literally no waste management. Flat itself is nice and fine - it's the running of it that is unacceptable. Fossgate House has literally no waste management. You have to put your dirty bins out every week and until then they stay in your small humid studio room which stinks. Peoppe defied that because especially in summer, that is gross, and we were met with snide notes from other tenants as well as emails threatening CCTV monitoring and discipline for whoever is taking their bins out before bin day. ( Sounds like a them problem not a Tennant problem..)

Another thing is after moving out recently I got an offensive and anxiety inducing email about how they haven't got round to giving deposits back yet and that "there may be charges against you or your garuntor but we dont know the extent of the charges yet"
Turns out that was a mass email to everyone because I started panicking wondering how on earth I'd be charged when I left it in much better condition than I was given it (dirty..)
Unacceptable - they loose respect for you once they get you in the contract and even more so when you're moving out.
Oh and forget about privacy for 3 months around November to Jan time as you will have constant flat viewings whenever they please, not in a structured manner just whenever they get interest for it..

The flat was promoted for viewings nine months before the tenancy end date, Apparently this is somehow normal for YPP . Have still not received our deposit back. Thank you YPP!

The worst company I have ever rented from!! Organised a move in day, from 3 hours from down south to move into a flat in york and nobody was there to give me my keys so I had to pay to stay in a travel lodge for 2 nights. Finally got into the flat and it was absolutely disgusting!!! I have never... Read Full Review

Finally got into the flat and it was absolutely disgusting!!! I have never seen a room so filthy before in my life. There was poo all over the toilet, mould growing in the skins, the windows were so dirty you couldn't see out of them, the mattress was stained and old and there was so much dust I had an asthma attack! I called reception and the head office 7 times and nobody would do anything about it so I ended up spending 10 hours cleaning my flat just so it was inhabitable and they haven't given me any compensation at all.

Nobody is ever at the desk downstairs even though it's meant to be 9-5pm, the bike storage code doesn't work so I've had to carry my bike up 6 flights of stairs after work. There's hardly ever any hot water and the cleaners are absolutely useless. Do not rent from them!!!
