Avoid like plague, these crooks are modern days racketeers.
Needless to say that while renting with them wasn’t the best experience ever, I requested a few works like a faulty heater and door handles for them to call me back literally months later to say they’re sorry their maintenance man let them down and they forgot about the issue.
Later I’ve lost my job and we had no move out, when telling them about it they first tried to make me pay an astonishing amount of money for an early release. We negociated that and agreed I would pay £1000 fine only to be released from the contract and they assured me no further payments will be requested from us.
When we moved out we have cleaned the flat throughout and made sure it’s left spotless.
Now they are harassing us and keep requesting further payments from us because apparently the have don another cleaning of the flat. THEY ARE THREATENING TO DESTROY OUR CREDIT SCORE IF WE DON’T PAY THEM THE MONEY THEY WANT.
Look, It is a perfectly normal thing for a property to need a quick refresh after tenants have moved out but since when that charge was meant to be put on the tenants? Admit the landlord decided to redecorate the flat once we moved out now are we supposed to be liable for that also? What kind of racketeering is that?
I feel utterly disgusted by Fenn Wright’s behavior and practices.
JUST STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Let a property from via this agent, was advertised as available immediately, agreed a move in date of 3 weeks forward, only to be contacted by email a week before the move that the landlord was now unable to move because a house he was purchasing was taking longer. Called the agent, advised we had booked removals, arranged check out of our current place. They were very unhelpful, non apologetic, stated they were unaware. Avoid this company, misleading advertising (clearly complete no checks), quick to take your money, but slow to pay it back. Wasted a lot of time with ref and credit checks, that have left us homeless. If I could rate lower than 1 star I would.

My son used this company when renting a property in rotary way Colchester. Fees are extortionate and questionable what they do to earn them. Supposedly carried out an iventory without my son present prior to him moving in which both my son and landlord paid some ridiculous amount for. Oven was broken(landlord had new one fitted one week later). Dishwasher leaks and wardrobe doors hanging off. No mention of any of this in inventory. Place was filthy. No meter readings taken despite assurances this was done. My son has now been billed for 10 days worth of electricity that was clocked up before he moved in. I had dealings with them as his guarantor and I was shocked by how incompetent they were. Didn't seem to care that I had to work. Expected me to drop everything when it suited them. Bunch of cowboys and a business full of total misfits. Avoid at all costs.

They could be just doing their job by the book, i would be happy. But instead they were doing dodgy bussiness!

As soon as you agree to sign the contract they crustify you with 200 metal sharp nails into their unfair, unreasonable rules and terms and conditions that you wish you had never heard of this agancy in your life. I dare to say they are a bunch of criminals who use the law to strip decent people off their hard earned money!
Avoid them! That is the best advice i can give you. They alway take landlord's side even you are paying all the fees!
