We let our family home through blundells (military family so couldn’t stay in the home). We wanted legal and rent guarantee we got messed about right from the start in regards to this and eventually got it in writing that we had legal and rent guarantee only to be told a YEAR later we never actually had it and they now won’t add it due to tenant having been in arrears. We called multiple times throughout the year and mentioned the rent and legal and NO ONE corrected us. We were lied to for a whole year and probably would have carried on lying had we not checked when renewing the lease with the tenant.

I am never one to write reviews, particularly bad reviews but thought it was necessary on this occasion.
If I could give this company zero stars then I would.
Put an offer in on a property on Monday and was advised by the agent they would get back to me asap.
I heard nothing by Wednesday so chased this up (took 4 phonecalls and a voicemail until I finally got through) after which I was told that they could not get hold of the vendor (seems a bit strange when your wanting to sell your house that you aren't able to be contacted for over 48 hours).
I then followed this up on the Friday afternoon as I still had heard nothing back after which I received an email saying that the vendor had gone with another offer on this occasion.
Not once were we contacted to try and up our offer like other estate agents have done when I have purchased houses in the past. Overall, I just found the communication extremely poor and I can't help but think if I hadn't have chased this up myself this afternoon that they wouldn't have even had the decency to phone me back and let me know of the outcome.
Also their Mortgage advisor (I won't name them personally but works for Countrywide Mortgage Services) hasn't responded to an email I sent them 10 days ago asking for further advice.
Finally, they are absolutely terrible at answering the phone!! I have tried multiple times at various times of the day to get hold of them and I think only once did they pick up. Again, so unprofessional and if I had employed them to sell my house I would be extremely concerned that they aren't answering the phone to people who want to purchase their property/make offers.

I'm quite shocked at how terrible a rating these agents have in the botom ten in the UK??? Wow. Anyway, I thought I'd have my say, I had a very a positive experience dealing with them when I bought my property. When contacting them to view properties at very short notice(one even an hour before I viewed) they were very accommodating and helpful, arranging viewings exactly when I wanted them. I was not living in sheffield when looking for properties so i managed to see many within a short space of time. They did not attend all viewings but the ones they didnt, they followed up after to ask my opinion, I felt this was to find out my needs and also give feedback for the vendors. The ones they did attend they answered most questions I had. Their brochures were very good quality. I met 2 (possibly 3 )sales staff and I found them polite and helpful. Janet dealt with the 2 properties I put offers on and she gave me advice and her opinion on what realistic offers would be, I didn't listen but she ended up being correct. She was open and honest with other interested buyers. One complaint I have even though it was as much my own fault was that when I said I would get back to her on increasing an offer, I felt she should have chased me up when someone else put in another offer rather than waiting for me to contact her. I didnt get the property but thi became a blessing as I put in another offer on a property that I have now moved into and love. That process went smoothly even though I was working away offshore with what seemed to be all parties communicating well(vendor, agent, solicitor). I will be looking at buying further properties to let and initially I wouldn't hesitate to use Blundells but after reading through the reviews and ratings, I'll make sure I use the chesterfield road branch.
