We found the initial marketing advice very good and we felt confident in Park and Bailey. Our house sale was agreed very quickly after going on the market which was helped by the proactive team, however we felt that Sheila was too keen to close the deal and was rather pushy with us to accept a lower offer, rather than trying to get the best deal for us. She was efficient in dealing with the agreed sale though until it was passed on to Ginette Brondson of the sale progression team in Caterham. Park and Bailey recommended 'their' conveyancy firm - which is actually just Premier Property Lawyers. Read a few of their reviews to get an idea of what they are like! You deal with an administrator rather than a solicitor for the majority of the sale. We were unhappy with our conveyancy experience and changed solicitors. The only reason Park and bailey recommend them is because they receive money when they refer clients to the firm. It's a shame they are more concerned about making money than about providing an excellent service. After we were passed on to the sales progression team we instigated most communication and did not feel that the Ginette was proactive in the sale progression. We had to keep e-mailing and phoning to find out or encourage progress. We were, in the end, disappointed with our Park and Bailey experience.

Whilst I fully understand your frustration, having reviewed the file, we achieved nearly 98% of the asking price and worked hard to generate interest on your property and feel we were proactive in doing this - we can only achieve of course what the market is willing to pay. With regards to Park & Conveyancing, we do indeed receive a fee but this is secondary to their business model which offers a no-sale no-fee, longer opening hours and also offer competitive charges. We are of course sorry that their service levels fell short of your expectations but would respectfully point out that there was a sudden surge in transactions which left many firms short staffed and under severe pressure. We are pleased to report that this has now been resolved and we are also offering alternative recommendations in order to allow customers to compare price and service accordingly. We very much hope you have settled into your new home and that you have a peaceful and enjoyable Christmas.

I would not recommend using these agents to buy or sell. I would never buy a property from these agents, nor sell a property to anyone involved with these agents again.
