We used the Bolton branch to fully manage our property when we moved out of the area.we moved out in February 2011 and a tenant moved in to the house in June.the property was in a clean state when we left as I am very particular when it comes to cleanliness.throughout the tenancy we did everything that the tenants requested, even agreed to them having dogs and redecorating certain rooms.we moved back into the house on 20 April and the tenants had moved out 2 days before.on a couple of occasions during the tenancy we had to fix things for the tenants and we noticed the cleanliness in certain areas,ie shower full of mould and absolutely filthy, dogs mess on the carpets.we informed the agents of this and he advised he would speak to the tenants.anyway, other things happened during the tenancy and basically they were ok tenants.however on moving back in to the property we discovered they had installed electrics without our permission, had not held up their end of the deal by replacing damaged brickwork, the whole house was filthy, bathrooms not been cleaned Tec.I could go on but this is about the Agent.we advised the Agent on the Saturday that we were not happy and couldn't believe he had signed off on a checkout leaving my house in such a state.the pictures he took looked like he hadn't even entered the rooms and he didn't even notice the electrics that had been installed.basically he told us that if we weren't happy,we had to claim through TDS as he had signed off on it.all in all,we have lost money by way of cleaning, decorating, replacing and the TDS sided with the tenant as the check out report did not mention any of our arguments.if Farrell Hayworth had better standards and actually did their jobs better,we wouldn't have had to claim with the TDS.we also think it was down to the fact that the tenants were buying a house through the sales side and Paul Hearne didn't want to upset the tenants.either that or he was in financial gain from the tenants.either way I would definitely not recommend using Farrell Hayworth in Bolton.

The worst agency to deal with as tenants. Wouldn't even want to give 1 star. While in the property, everytime a problem was reported you have to chase up with them yourselves. Now that we no longer are their tenants we have to chase them for our deposit?! And they come up with a whole list of... Read Full Review

I spoke to them on a Monday to arrange a viewing for a property with their board on it. I was told the paperwork isn't complete for the listing. Once it's listed the property will go online. The property went online on a Friday. When I rang again to arrange viewing a female member told me ... Read Full Review

Avoid this estate agent at all costs!!! quick enough to take your custom but they are all full of hot air... They said I would sell my property in 8 weeks, that was the valuation Manager Stephen Ward. I would have 10 viewings a week, I was told by Gina from the Bolton branch. This did not happen,... Very bad fees expensive I am very glad I terminated my contract I am now going with another estate agent. The fees are day light robbery for the service they provide.

What a terrible agent and landlord! On several occasions I have been left with no hot water and heater - worse being over one week, from Easter Friday, with the same issues reported prior. Neither the agent nor the landlords would compensate me for the failure especially because it happened... Read Full Review

They are very nice to until you sign that contract (in which they do not explain) and then the communication is terrible. When I asked if my house had any interest they replied with 'I don't know I've not checked me emails all day'. I want out of my contract and they are all ignoring me.... Read Full Review

We recently had to sell my mother's house to pay for her care home fees. Farrell Heywroth manage and maintain the property next door to me. We both havea 50% ownership of a fence at the back. This is in desparate need of repair. The agent took over 4 weeks to contact and get get a reply from their landlord. They were thrn supposed to asses the fence for their... Read Full Review
Come to the property, talk to me in person, see the fence from my side, and then discuss the need for repairs or not. That is all I wanted. I am their neighbour, they should deal with me people like human beings instead of property files to be \"managed\".
