Avoid! As a landlord I have rented a property for 10 years through a different agent. After being persuaded to rent the property with John Francis, the first tenants I had have not only stolen beds and furniture, ruined carpets, walls and fly tipped in the back garden and stopped paying rent several months before leaving. It's clear that no checks have been done throughout the year and the due diligence on the tenants before moving in must have been forgotten or ignored. John Francis's advice for getting the rent arrears was 'There is nothing much we can do' John Francis advice for the theft and damage was 'There is nothing much we can do' John Francis on getting the tenants out on their last day of tenancy was 'There is nothing much we can do' As a landlord all you ask is for the letting agent to do proper due diligence and check in when appropriate to make sure the tenant isn't ruining the place. Neither of these have been done to any kind of standard. Very disappointing!
