They are super disorganised, messing me around with move in dates and the like, having to reschedule and costing us heaps. They didn't even manage to get the inspection done for my flat till after we had moved in (if they even did it - looks like they used the previous tenants' one because there's stuff on there we've never seen). Their inspection didn't seem to cover checking the furniture, as half of it fell apart, and the mattress had a MASSIVE hole in it that had been conveniently flipped to the other side. We were left with random stuff from the previous tenant for months, with no confirmation as to whether we could just throw it away or if someone would come and collect it. They are really bad at communication and they are terrible for fixing things - stuff goes reported without being fixed for aaaaages. Their excuse for 'electric heating' is two heaters that don't work. The last one was my ceiling falling through, flooding the living room, breaking my personal belongings. They say will take at least 60 days to get the money through the insurance to fix the massive hole in the ceiling - they've decided covering it with a plastic bag is enough! To add insult to injury, there has been no indication of them coming and replacing the couches, which are now growing mold - so as an asthmatic I haven't been able to use my living room/kitchen for 3 weeks now! It's been absolutely appalling. Never rent with them.

4 Nov 2020We are saddened and frustrated to see that you would prefer visiting various social media websites to leave inaccurate comments instead of trying to liaise with ourselves in resolving the matter. Looking through our records, an entry date of 23/08/2019 was agreed via email on 14/08/2019 and that was the date on which you took up occupancy. An inventory was set to you on 03/09/2019 and you had seven days to make amendments which you did and seemed happy with when you returned this on 05/09/2019. We can see that you requested to dispose of the mattress and replace this yourself but we instead asked the landlord to cover the cost of a replacement which was arranged shortly afterwards. On 22/10/2019, you were sent an email advising that the items you mentioned could be disposed of and were further advised to contact the council for a free uplift. The leak was reported via email and was acted upon that day; the leak was then resolved and the ceiling was made safe. This involved the contractor actually creating the ‘hole’ to avoid the ceiling collapsing. The matter was then passed along to the insurance company who are currently dealing with this and you have been kept updated every step of the way. The property has no central heating which you were made aware of before leasing property. It is electrically heated and we cannot see any issues reported with this. Upon a visit to the property from a member of staff the offer of extra heaters was declined. The only ongoing decisions lie in the hands of the insurance company (regarding the ceiling claim) and the landlord/tenant’s insurance company (regarding the requested replacement of laptop and couch). We have done everything within our power (as a letting agent) to address this matter and will continue to do so but we would strongly suggest you take the matter through the appropriate channels (The First Tier Tribunal) after completing our in-house complaints procedure.
