In the past five years, we have made four residential acquisitions. Frank Harris Bloomsbury is by far the worst agency we have dealt with. Its agent, Alison, is rude, patronising, shady and judgmental from start to finish. (1) On viewing a flat with a share of freehold, I enquired why it has a ground rent of £150 per annum given it has share of freehold, she taunted at me and said they will always have a ground rent. With experience working in a law firm's residential conveyancing team, I found her lack of basic knowledge shocking and her attitude unbearable. (2) In the process of making offers, this agent frequently bluffed, lied and denied making statements - appalling. She said one thing to me and the other to my partner, when confronted by my partner about her statement to me, she said she never made those statements. (3) In the process of making offers on another flat, we specifically asked to deal with a far more decent agent at this firm, yet, after the offer was agreed, solicitor was instructed, broker was paid, she called my mobile and told me that there was a higher offer and asked repeatedly what I would like to do now. When I asked to speak to our agent, she said “I will put you through but the situation is as it is”. Little digs such as this showed her lack of professionalism, her petty vendetta and her traits as an incompetent estate agent. After these incidents with this agent, somewhat felt personal and aggressive, we came to the conclusion that there are far better agents in the area, such as Dexters Bloomsbury and KFH Clerkenwell. It is a shame that many decent properties are on the market with Frank Harris because we would not only avoid this agent at all cost, but also ensure our communities, neighbours, colleagues, friends and families do so as well. Alison is the exact reason for the bad reputation to the profession of estate agents. Update: following a complaint to the agency, they have confirmed that they will do NOTHING as I have no proof that Alison was rude, has lied and was unprofessional to us. NO PROOF, so she gloats. Someone with a discriminatory attitude and knows too well to conduct all inappropriateness over the phone so leave no written evidence - SHAME ON YOU.

I was left 10 days WITHOUT hot water from the first day I moved in, and they said it was fixed in a "professional and timely manner"; yes they don't seem to ensure at all that you have hot water on the very first day you check in. Of all the nerve! One more thing to alert, I found ... Read Full Review
