Not very professional, they are not very helpful and don'tseem to care about anything - basically really bad attitude. Most people in the office are the same. Obviously not a dealbreaker but makes the whole experience a lot more negative when you are being really polite and nice and the other person looks like they would rather jump off a building than speak/deal with you. Do avoid using them if you can, and if you do go ahead, please be very alert and cautious. The contract prohibits you from changing utility suppliers and wanted to charge me if I did change suppliers - this is unlawful, as it is the tenant's Legal right to change and there is no cost in switching. Told them and they still insisted they were right (*Landlords should also be aware as they clearly have very little understanding of the laws and regulations). There are other problematic issues in the contract (which I won't list out for privacy), including unlawful clauses which they insist are right, despite me pointing precise legal provisions which clearly states the contrary. I have consulted a lawyer and he is appalled the agency thinks it can get away with those contract provisions.
Other review/comparison sites also say this firm is far from professional and have suffered a lot worse than me.

Comments on Agent Fees
They charged us with reference fee even though they wouldn't deal with us anymore.

We were looking at renting a flat in the Barbican, we had several viewing with Frank Harris' property agent Robert Sayers and finally liked one and decided to make an offer.
Obviously Frank Harris is working on behalf of the landlords but does not even bother contacting them to let them know about our offers but just say no to us. Back to zero, we had other visits and agreed to rent another one without any negotiation possible.
We are contractor and even with a 6 months contact earning £500/day we could have pay the year rent in a month of work, anyway, Frank Harris was reticent regarding our application and asked us to provide guarantors, which we did but wasn't enough. So we offered to pay the 6 months in advance but they wanted us to pay for reference every 6 months and pay 6 months in advance every time... Their secretary Alison Petrou made a mistake by replying to the email with us but was intended to her colleague which I quote word for word: A waste of time these two !!!! what do they think is going to happen after six months?. So unprofessional and mean.
THEY are a waste of time, stay away from them! They are not even friendly...
After that we dealt with Hamilton Brooks which is just down the road from them and are much more understandable and nice. They work with the tenant and landlord to find an agreement to keep both part happy.
