Seems that James Doherty has a history of ripping off tenants, lying to them and causing stress to families. I honestly don't know how someone with a family of his own can be so cruel to people just so that he can line his own pockets. Concept Property Lettings Limited are probably the worst letting agents in the Lanarkshire area. Avoid at all costs. Don't become another of Doherty's victims or put your family at risk.

Regrettably it is necessary to respond to the tenant who has uploaded this abhorrent nonsense. The tenant in question is a Miss K who rented a property from us in East Kilbride Whilst we do not wish to allocate more time than necessary on this we feel that it is important that the truth be told. Miss K has conveyed her own appalling version of events and whilst Miss K has plenty to say she has failed to include the following facts - 1. On being informed that a piece of loose roughcast had fallen from the chimney her landlord paid 100% of the re-roughcasting bill for a chimney which the neighbour owned 50% of ! 2. Miss K had no permission to carry out the numerous appalling amateur botched DIY jobs which cost her landlord thousands of pounds to rectify 3. Miss K destroyed a cooker by leaving it in such a filthy disgusting condition that it was not worth cleaning and had to be thrown out 4. Every surface in the house was filthy and/or damaged including all floor coverings and cost a substantial amount of money to rectify 5. The garden and garden shed were left full of rubbish which cost the landlord a lot of money to have the removed 6. Miss K vacated the premises and failed to provide the required notice as per the agreed signed lease 7. The bullying and threatening demands that Miss K refers to were simply texts and letters asking for the costs to rectify all the damages and cleaning that she was directly responsible for. 8. Miss K of course refused to pay for anything and left Concept Property with no option but to contact her guarantor therefore instead of accepting liability Miss K knowingly allowed her ill mother to shoulder all the blame and endure the stress that she could and should have avoided. 9. Mydepositscotland ( MDS ) were sent photographs of all the damages,the agreed signed schedule of condition etc and obviously MDS ( NOT Concept Property ) then decided that Miss K was not entitled to a single penny of her original deposit 10. On receipt of a reference request from another agency we were duty bound to inform them that Miss K was an undesirable tenant and we obviously could not recommend her as we did not wish another unsuspecting landlord to suffer Miss K is a typical example of someone who is unable and / or unwilling to accept responsibility for their own actions and moreover is desperate to blame someone else. Unfortunately a right to everything but responsibility for nothing is now an all too common theme from undesirable tenants and as letting agents we witness the same scenario re-enacting as : tenant rents house, tenant destroys house, tenant is not entitled to deposit back, tenant blames letting agent and /or landlord ! More disturbingly Miss K's use of emotive language is a deliberate and calculated action, a statement bereft of any facts or truth, designed to derive misguided empathy and emotion for the most personal of family situations. This is a tenant who destroyed their landlords property refused to pay for her actions and blamed her landlord for her mother’s stress and unfortunate passing. Disgusting, simply disgusting. Please note that the only reason that we did not print the tenant’s full name is that we did not wish to embarrass her any further as she should already be thoroughly ashamed of herself. Perhaps Miss K will respond and attempt to provide a logical explanation of her reprehensible claims ! Alternatively, to provide further proof of the above we could upload all our digitally dated photographs and correspondence to any social media platform of her choice. We await a response from Miss K

Would take anything Allan Campbell (if that is even his real name) with a pinch of salt. This company is well known for not telling the truth.

I can confirm that the experience of the reviewer was very similar to my own. They tried to claim that I caused thousands of pounds of damage to their property. They are well known in the area for trying to keep the deposit and will use lies to try and claim as much money as possible from tenants. You don't like it when the truth comes out, do you Jimmy?

Don't worry Mis K, we all know what this wee bully is like. You won't be the first person who has been ripped of by this unscrupulous little man.

Sounds like James Doherty, as he tries to blame the tenants for anything that is wrong with a property, even although there are existing problems and damages in the run down properties which he owns.

Allan (if that is even your real name), why did you take so long to repair the chimney? Why do your tenants have to make repeated calls for repairs and maintenance work to be carried out? Have you any proof that thousands of pounds worth of damage were caused by this tenant? If it had gone to court would you have won? Why does the owner of Concept not use his real name when he rents out the 40 or so property which he owns and rents through Concept? Why does he pretend that someone else is the landlord and not him?

Don't worry Miss K. we aren't fooled by his lies as we all know what James Doherty is like. It is important that his tenants and ex-tenants get the truth out about him and his "letting agency".

Allan/Jim Doherty, having had experience of dealing with CPL, I doubt very much that thousands of pounds of damage were actauly caused by this tenant or that the property was "destroyed". It appears that a young lady and her mother were caused stress by an unscrupulous landlord/letting agent who tried to claim thousands of pounds which they were not entitled to. You really are pathetic and your greed for money seems to know no bounds. This was not the only time you have committed disgusting acts against your tenants. You have no shame.

Even if there was some cleaning and repairs needing done after the tenant left, it would be highly unlikely that these would amount to £7,000. The tenant has already stated that having sought legal advice (after having suffered from sever stress caused by the letting agent's appalling actions) she was informed by a legal expert that the letting agency did not have any grounds for persuing compensation from either the tenant or her elderly sick parent. This just shows the depths which this letting agency will plumb to. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. If the landlord felt that he was entitled to money from the tenant why did he not do it himself or instruct a solicitor to send a letter rather than the agency do it?

The irony of someone questioning someone else's name when they call themselves Harold, Mrs Cap, Dogery ( and the dozens of other puerile names that they have ) is clearly lost on this individual but for the purposes of this post we shall call our troll " Norman ". It is clear that Norman's unhealthy obsession with our Mr Doherty occupies and hinders his every thought.Therefore to clarify we can confirm that in our last post we were not referring to the many many decent tenants that we have but just the undesirable tenants like Norman and Miss K. Trusting this clarifies the situation. Thank you
