I contacted Fulfords with regards to renting a property in Exeter. At the viewing they tried to push me into signing immediately on promise of the fees being reduced. This didn't work for me at all, as I had to give notice on my existing property. I told them the next day I wasn't interested but the office also contacted me several times asking why I didn't want the property. Their fees are around £150 higher than most, around £500 for a couple just on fees (plus deposit). Not only this but they sent and continue to send me SMS messages, which I appear to have no way of stopping, despite me stating specifically I didn't want them on making an online enquiry.
-Be transparent on fees, don\'t offer a discount to sign earlier when it\'s obviously not worth it for the tenant -Don\'t spam and provide ways to unsubscribe to SMS (I\'m sure this is not entirely legal)

Dreadful. This review refers to both branches of Fulfords in Exeter. An important note before my review: The Mortgage Advisor based in their Cowick St branch (not working for Fulfords) is brilliant and would recommend him to anyone. Would also make an exception for Louis who seemed to be... Read Full Review

Fulfords have been very communicative and friendly during my process of trying to rent a property. Although I was not able to get the property I was hoping to (through no fault of theirs) Joshua was extremely helpful and went above and beyond, and has offered to help again in the future which is... I've been trying to buy a house through Fulfords, Exeter with little success. The employee who did the viewing was dishonest when I said I was only interested if there was a chain of 2 or less. He also kept quiet about the fact that one of the houses in the chain was waiting for probate to be ... Read Full Review

There organising and accomadation during the sign up process was fine, but there were a couple of terms in the contract which I questioned on additional fees for renewal, they told me they were not relevant and they were just the standard contract, and specifically there would be no additional fees ... Buying a house through Fulfords was an extremely unpleasant experience. They did little to negotiate between vendor and buyer smoothly and in my opinion added significantly to the stress each party felt during this process. I would NOT recommend this branch of Fulfords to anyone buying or... Read Full Review

I am a tenant and my landlord is selling, I found that fulfords were to full on calling and pestering daily. I left my property during tea time for 2.5hours whilst people viewed my house and having a small child this was very in appropriate so said i wanted to cancel any viewings at tea time. Yet... Very unimpressed with Fulfords' Exeter branches. Since viewing a property through them I've been pestered with countless emails and telephone calls, despite having asked them several times to remove my details from their emailing/call list. They even decided they would pass my mobile number onto... Read Full Review
Stop sending me emails when I ask you to. Don\'t send emails to me that are addressed to some other person(!). Don\'t keep calling me, particularly after I have asked you not to. Don\'t pass my personal details on to other companies without my permission.

Avoid at all costs! We recently bought a property through Fulfords. We were bullied, guzzumed, lied to consistently through the purchasing process. It was only through getting involved with the vendor did we even honestly know what was going on. I wouldn't recommend selling, purchasing, renting or... Read Full Review

STAY AWAY!!! After one viewing with Fulfords they took my details and have been harassing me on a daily basis as they want my house to sell. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
