Non existent customer service, unable to get even the most simplest of tasks done. Lengthy periods of time to get contractors out. Terrible experience, avoid at all costs
Fees are taken however they do not uphold their side of the contract

27 Feb 2019I agree with the fees comment. I was abroad November and December last year. No internet so no access to my inbox. Imagine my shock to see a demand of £1200 for redecoration and recarpetting dated 11 December and payment deadline 28 December. So what happens next? £50 charge for late payment. I am sick to death of these leeches so called management agents. Extortionate charges/fees and threaten the leaseholder with eviction when we raise a query why invoices not forthcoming to justify charges. I am selling my flat. I paid £354 for the management pack and still no answer why it is being withheld nearly 3 weeks later. The turnaround is 8 days and I am still waiting. Solicitors waiting. Buyer waiting. My life on hold. There should be legislation in place to penalise these incompetent management leeches for unacceptable delays to requests paid for. Never buying a leasehold property again.

2 May 2019Avoid at all costs. John Sykes has a culture within the company facilitating the collection of substantial amounts of money for expansion no matter the human or emotional cost, from 36 pounds late fees if you delay rent a single day to literally the owner of the house calling my son in the middle of the night complaining about the shampoo stand being dirty just to exert dominance while literally everything in ensured in multiple fronts. These companies are one-time stop and unfortunately there is not even 1 google query result warning people of businesses that treat people like that. Plus they only accept students, guess why ;)

Extremely poor service. Communal parts left with leaks and mould for months. Constant chasing for repairs had no effect. Please see photos. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
