In April we asked 3 agents to visit our property and quote a commission rate. Samuel Gibson attended and quoted 1.5%. We instructed another agent as they had dealt with a troublesome tenancy where we had to go to court. Now, some months on with the court case over (which we won) we have just called him to ask him to take on the sale. He now insists on 2%. His explanation was "that was then and this is now". What a parasite! I really hope that, as a Partner, his business goes down the pan.
