We should have known how efficient Farrel Hayworth were going to be when Daniel Proctor failed to show for our valuation appointment- some confusion with the office calender. When he did show we were so thrilled with his valuation and offer to reduce the commission we signed up. After months of viewings (where the agent was late, failed to show or demonstrated a profound lack of knowledge of our property or the area) we finally sold at £19k less than the original valuation. Our biggest shock came with the bill when Farrel Hayworth charged us a percentage of the original valuation and not the sale price. A regular practice in the trade - not. No wonder they valued our property so high. It was aimed at high commission not an early sale. Robbers.
Fees calculated on original valuation are unethical and give no incentive to value realistically or sell quickly.

6 Nov 2017I experienced the same problem as "Disappointed of St Annes".No real guidance on price. No feedback except in early days. No contact from them a month prior to eventual completion and nothing there after. I think they lost me at least £20k. Through very poor marketing . God knows why as the other branches of this Estate Agents have good reviews. Needs better and proper management not a young lad there constantly firefighting. No don,t use them. Not impressed. You deserve better.Much better

14 Nov 2017Despite Daniel's response that he has moved elsewhere he was still a party to this misleading practice of valuing high and charging commission on that unrealistic valuation. Shame on you.

Terrible service, we were late for a viewing due to an unforeseen circumstance which we did inform the agency, when we got their the agent was NOT polite did not believe us. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
Any complaints are to be in writing and sent to the branch manager. We will write to confirm receipt, and come back to you within 7 days.
Further steps will be detailed in the initial response.
