During the viewings of properties, they behaved as expected, but once I had signed away my money things quickly changed. My account was managed by Maxine and she was the rudest most incompetent 'professional' that I have ever encountered. When I moved into the property the main lock did not work, and it took three months and numerous reminders for this to be rectified. My main issue, however, was the obscene treatment of my security deposit. I left the property in immaculate condition, having fixed and cleaned things beyond their original rented state, and always paid my rent on time. After several too many prompts to Russells for the return of my deposit, they issued me with a ludicrous list of deductions materially in excess of any charges stated per the contract. In addition to these rogue fees, they expected me to pay for over a week's rent to recarpet a single room for damage caused by the previous tenant and charged me for further entirely fictitious items. There were blatant errors in simple calculations which they corrected without apology on my pointing out. The process of challenging each and every fictitious charge was extremely time-consuming, made worse by Maxine not returning any calls and being very rude when I was able to speak to her. Fortunately for us all, Russells has rightfully wound down now and won't be stealing any more tenant deposits.

Mr Gavin Grainger was giving false references about myself not paying the rent of time . Besides he said I was paying a lower rent as per tenancy agreement. Having all the documentations ( last 6 monks bank statement , tenancy agreement indicating the rent to be paid etc..) i was able to overcome... Read Full Review

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
