I have been renting in this country for eleven years and I have to admit that I had with Mint homes the worst experience ever. They are dishonest, ready to lie and make all tricks to please the land lord so they use them again and they do not care about you at all. At the end of tenancy again they will overprice, and charge you twice for the same thing and do all tricks to take as much as possible out of your deposit. I do not recommend them to anyone looking for renting a property and if you have to deal with them you should be extra cautious and never trust them.

8 Feb 2017Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear you were not happy with the service provided by Mint Homes at the end of your tenancy. However, Mint Homes will only make a deposit deduction if there is an anomaly to the initial signed inventory. Our tenancy agreement also advises how the garden and interior of the property and contents should be kept throughout the tenancy as well as left at the end. To protect a deposit taken for an assured shorthold tenancy and help with any disputes between tenants and landlords at the end of a tenancy, all our deposits are held by the Deposit Protection Service (DPS). Mint Homes follows the guidelines set out by the DPS so it is fair to both our valued tenants and landlords alike. In the case of a dispute, both Mint Homes and the tenant are able to submit evidence for and against the proposed deduction for the DPS to make the final decision. The legislation was introduced because the Government recognised many deposits were being unfairly withheld at the end of a tenancy. Introducing Tenancy Deposit Protection was identified as a way to raise standards in the lettings industry and ensure tenants are treated fairly at the end of the tenancy. The legislation also introduced standards for the way deposit disputes are handled. All TDP providers need to offer a free Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service for occasions where tenants and landlords can't agree on how much should be deducted from a deposit.

13 Feb 2019After reading these reviews, I now find I am not alone. I don't want to disclose who I am, but Mint Homes treated my daughter appallingly when she finisher her tenancy. She has since moved into rented and out again twice, and has had good dealings, who fairly gave her her deposit back each time. I would avoid this company, there are much better in the local area, as my daughter has found. Greed sums this firm up I'm afraid.

14 Feb 2019'would rather not say' - We are sorry that Mint Homes did not meet your daughters expectations, we value all our customers opinions. We always strive to be helpful, respectful, thorough and cost effective service to our landlords and tenants alike, so are sad that on this occasion your daughter felt she didn't receive our usual level of service. With regards to any deposit disputes as we said to 'AH' we will only make a deposit deduction if there is an anomaly to the initial signed inventory. Absolutely awful how they treat vunrable people. They will also try and scam you out of the deposit. If you report mould in the flat they will do nothing except tell you to buy some Cilit Bang and clean it, which then marks the paint - which they charge for after you move out. If you try to contact ... Read Full Review

In Kedal we rent flat peartree bank. They gave us the property with the guarantee of having parking behind the house. I never found it. I was forced to park at booths paying £ 70.00 pounds per month otherwise I would have had to park 15 minutes' walk from home. The property is ... Read Full Review

If there is a zero star, I would give mint homes. The most dishonest andd unworthy agents I've seen. Liars. Don't even bother using them they are no good.
