Never use this agent! We advertised our property for sale and after 2 years, we opted to cancel our contract in writing December 2014. The following year we sold our house at Auction March 2015 with a different agent everything appeared to go smoothly. We were contacted by Countrywide estates by email in May 2015 as they believed the fee was payable to Entwistle Green as they did a viewing 2 years prior. We had absolutely no knowledge of this and there was no communication to confirm this. We were pursued with court action, feeling extremely confident as our buyers presented at Auction and we hadn't heard of the name prior to the Auction. The judge awarded the judgment to the Estate Agent and we are ordered to pay �7000 in 14 days. The only thing that could be shown was a 'internal diary entry' detailing a viewing with a completely different name! The judge said this was human error and there was no requirement for the agent to inform us in writing that they conducted an accompanied viewing. All our communication was via email (65) and not one mention of the people who bought our property. The fact that we are now shown this information, means we are liable. You wouldn't believe this if in a story!

This estate agent has the highest finding fees (reference checks, credit checks, etc. etc. etc.) but promised exceptional service. I rented a property for 18 months. The highest I found when looking to rent a property. but they promised exceptional service. The rent charged was also higher than average. But my partner really liked the kitchen, so we rented from entwistle.

What agent could do to change your mind?
They need to charge less. They need to ensure that when they say they are going to do something, they do it, or let you know they are trying! They need to learn how to be punctual and customer focused.
