I have never experienced such a dreadful company as Connells. Bearing in mind that I've dealt with a lot of telecoms companies, that's saying something! The staff at the branch were second to none in their abilities to make unfulfilled promises, be incapable of carrying out the simplest of tasks or even make the barest minimum effort to sell my property. All this despite their advertising saying they would do all in their power to sell the property. From the off, they were less than honest and this carried out through the entire process with such things as making up potential buyers, lying about buyers ability to fulfil the purchase and not leaving the property in the state it was found. I could go on, but the list of misdemeanours is pretty long and would make for dull reading. I thought that maybe it was a bent branch and that the Head Office would be disturbed to hear of my experiences. Unfortunately, it turns out the Head Office is a bent, if not more so, than the branch. One suspects the branch has been given an award for getting away with so many bold lies. They have been trained to lie with such efficiency that if you take your complaint to The Property Ombudsman, the Ombudsman just says, “It's your word against theirsâ€Â. Given that British law is there to protect the interests of criminals, the Ombudsman failed to bring Connells to task for the majority of their dishonest dealings. Connells are forever to be remembered as CONhells to us. Please learn from my mistake and do not use them. If you seriously wish to sell a property, steer clear of this leviathan. Find a small local agent who will bust a gut to get the sale. They will do it for a lot less than Connells.

21 Apr 2013I had a brilliant experience using Connells. The staff were all very friendly. Honest and very helpful. I didn't expect my house to be sold in days, it sold within 4 weeks and I got almost asking price. Connells told me to decline a offer because they thought they could get more even though I thought it was a pretty good offer! They were right.... I got a much better offer the following week. Worth every penny!! A brilliant professional team! Xxx

What agent could do to change your mind?
Maybe actually spoken to us and just told us from the start if they weren\'t going to arrange viewings for us. Or better yet, spoken to the landlord and got a clear yes or no.
