If you're thinking about using Bridgfords, don't. Go elsewhere. The attitude of the staff is shocking and the professionalism of the place is lacking. All they care about is money and they'll do anything to get as much out of you as possible. Long story short, it started with false advertisement when we first moved in and whenever anything needed looked at it it took them weeks to come out. When it came to moving out their 'exit report' of the property included problems that were already there when we moved in!! I'm still waiting 2 month later to see about getting any of my deposit back. I was told that there were fees that needed to be paid on my account which were the reference fees. I knew I had paid this when the lady on the phone told me but she kept saying that I hadn't and this needed to be paid. After checking my statement, there it was in black and white. They are clearly unable to update their systems when a payment has been made which is very concerning. One mistake and issue after another with Bridgfords.

They charge extra for a landlord reference fee when you move out (20 + VAT). Expensive fees, it was a 100 GBP more than our current agent.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
