This company is an absolute disgrace. We have been tenants for over two years, in that time we have been made to feel like incompetent children who simply don't matter. We are both working professionals who have rented for a number of years and have never defaulted. I reported an issue with the paint starting to peel on some of the walls, this is a result of cheap paint, I was told that I shouldn't clean or scrub the walls so hard. I have yet to meet someone who regularly washes their walls up to the coving. Every inspection ended with the same thing being said you're looking after it well, creating the somewhat patronizing impression that we are merely babysitting the property. The attitude of the staff is absolutely indescribable, I question why any of them chose this career if they hold such utter contempt for people. There is a lack of communication, you will only know at the last minute if someone is attending the property and you are expected to accommodate without question. I was under the misguided impression that we are customers paying for a service and should be treated with a little respect. Issues are allowed to go on without any way of being able to escalate to authority, the staff and offices are immune to criticism and there is no way to express your displeasure and be taken seriously. If anyone reading this is considering using this company in any capacity, I urge and implore you in the strongest possible terms to go elsewhere. I don't wish to give an entire account of our dealings but suffice to say that they could be used as THE example of why renting in this country is utterly flawed. The fact that they continue to operate is an absolute mystery to me, I will be telling everyone I know not to use them and would suggest that anyone else avoids. I do not have the necessary linguistic skills to convey just how utterly abominable this letting agent is. Please just take my word for it and do not put yourself, or anyone you even vaguely care for, through it. If you work for Austyn Wyatt and are reading this, you should be utterly ashamed of yourselves.
Treat tenants like functioning human beings, people rent because they have to not because they are utter scum. It is not a class war, we are people too. Don\'t say you will do something and then fail. In short don\'t lie. Don\'t threaten people with debt collection when you have received the payment for rent, also when this has been proven - have the good grace to apologise. The best thing you could do is to cease being a letting agent.
Extortionate and the amounts change depending on who you are talking to.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
