This branch is extremely incompetent and I have never experienced such negligence and disregard towards the customer, with extremely poor customer service. As a student I believe we have been treated extremely unfairly having filled out an application for a new flat in a new development the city center we then paid the £125 application fee being told that this meant the property was then reserved for us. After a month we receive a call explaining that we had been double booked and because we were the last people to apparently book the flat we do not get it. Having left us basically homeless, Bridgfords did not show any inclination to help us find a new property to live in. We then tried to get our £125 application fees back, which we were promised if a problem should occur, my friends and I have been calling for well over a month and we are constantly being lied to. The manager says she has posted the cheques out, however none of us have received anything. When we go into store we are told we cannot have our money back directly and it must be posted, however they are not posting this money out. The manager and other employees NEVER call back when you request and are in general extremely unhelpful. In summary this is not an estate agents I would ever recommend using, we have been treated unfairly, left in an awful situation, we have lost our money, communication is below poor, the staff are extremely incompetent and unhelpful.
Having been incompetently double booked the estate agents should have made more effort to find us new accommodation, they should post our money out when requested instead of lying.

The worst agents I have ever come into contact with in my years of renting properties. Unhelpful, RUDE and impossible to get answers from for simple questions if you have issues. Landlords review: Firstly, if you are having problems with the maintenance of a property, it is not Bridgfords fault. This branch is incompetent on a scale I have never encountered before. The manager NEVER and I mean NEVER rings back . Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
