I was in the process of buying a property (that I was told had been taken off the market as I had paid for surveys etc) when I discovered by accident that Simon Blyth were showing people around the property on the quiet - nobody had bothered to tell me after I had already spent hundreds of £ on surveyors. I walked away as I could no longer trust them as agents.

Another terrible experience with the Kirkburton office of Simon Blyth. I was in the process of buying a property (that I was told had been taken off the market as I had paid for surveys etc) when I discovered by accident that Simon Blyth were showing people around the property on the quiet - nobody had bothered to tell me after I had already spent hundreds of £ on surveyors. I walked away as I could no longer trust them as agents.
Prospective house sellers note : the house I was intending to buy , I would be living in by now - and it is STILL for sale as I write this, imagine how the seller feels now! I would go elsewhere. There are better / more competent agents.

Absolutely terrible from start to finish.
I was looking to buy a property, twice contacted them with a list of questions for the seller, twice I was told somebody would be in touch and twice nobody called despite me chasing (I had to play detective and track down the seller myself).
Then, both parties having agreed to try and progress rapidly (6 weeks), 2 weeks away from our completion date , I find my solicitor has not heard anything, I find the sellers solicitor has not heard anything and it turns out , Simon Blyth estate agents (Kirkburton) have done absolutely nothing despite being chased.
A month completely wasted which cost me a lot.
It does bed the question - what exactly do they do for their money? Rightmove does all the matching of buyer and seller, after that they just seem to make things worse?

I heard nothing for 5 days, so I followed it up with another email and again I heard nothing.
Being fed up by this stage, I complained about the service on Facebook and miraculously people started communicating with me!
I am now dealing with this matter as a complaint and waiting for Simon Blyth to respond to my messages to him.
During the course of the complaint, I have been told that I didn't request a viewing originally, although nobody will show me a copy of the lead information They received from me.
Furthermore Fiona told me that she rang me after my email, but there is no record of her call and she left no email.
Heidi the Branch manager when dealing with my complaint told me ´ I am starting to question just how serious you are about viewing this property? â
Unbelievable, it was her employee who didn't deal with my request for viewing, her employee who refused to reply to my two emails, her employee who despite receiving an email from me offering days and times for viewings, said she rang me, left no message and left no record of a call! And after all that, I'm the person not interested !
You are paying commission for these agents to sell your property and yet when a cash buyer wants to view a property no one bothers to arrange it.
