Sales Progression 'Team' basically consists of one person, Jodie Winch, who never (at any point) had control of my sale.
An offer was forwarded from a company that hadn't even been formed yet, by a company that were applying for a commercial mortgage and didn't even do that until mid Feb. I initially accepted their offer in early November 2020.
Jodie Winch acknowledged communication failures, then continued to fail to communicate.
The whole chain was ready, as agreed by all parties at the end of March. Not Miles & Barr.
We stumbled towards the end of the next stamp duty holiday. Nothing.
Incompetence, apathy, discourtesy and lack.of integrity have directly led to the whole chain collapsing and the end of my mums' dream move to the country.
Management don't care and have done nothing to address their failings.
They really DON'T Care. The directors DON'T CARE. Perhaps I'm being naive in expecting them to.

Buying and selling a house can be a very stressful time.. I have found Miles and Barr exemplary in the sale of my house. My experience with other agents have not been so good.
All staff are courteous and friendly.. when they say they will get back to you they do.
In exception Zoe has been our most helpful agent.. nothing appearing to be too much trouble. She has carried out all that she has said she would do. I found Hannah and Katie good to their word as much as Olly Ethan and Sam. Well done Folkestone branch for a 5 star service ! I can thoroughly recommend. Jane Parker

I bought through Miles and Barr late last year and I must say that I found the whole experience from start to finish a very positive one. I would highly recommend them and if I was to sell this house in the future I would use them as my agent without hesitation.

My gut feeling was bad as I spoke to Miles & Barr last week as a potential buyer. Having read other reviews on this site I have decided not to deal with them at all, no matter how charming the property.
They were very pushy re: my dealing with their in-house mortgage broker, despite my already having one I am happy with. And this feeling of not being listened to continued. Despite saying that I could not do early appointments, I was phoned half an hour later with them trying to make an early appointment.
My gut feeling just echoes what I have read here.

My initial contact with Miles Barr when registering was pleasant. I spoke with someone called Laura. The person carrying out the viewing claimed they were experienced... though clearly appeared unaware of customer care. Her manner seemed quite abrasive. There was a complete complete lack of information to a basic question's like the service charge and knowledge about the local area was not really forthcoming. If I hadn't seen the low rating's and recently heard bad reviews from 3 other people since who had similar experience's. I would have taken it petsonally. Proper training is what is needed and a boot camp in customer care!
