After renting with Marsh and Parsons for a year and a half I will never do so again nor will I buy a property from them. Having been pushed into an uninhabitable property by them we have had issues of all sorts (mold, damp, mice and paper thin walls). These issues are all due to the fact that they have let a property that has not had any work on it and has extensive structural damage. Extremely disappointed.

Our landlord has verbally agreed to allow us to extend it as we were moving to Australia in september. No paperwork was filled out not any service provided by the realtor for this, yet they are illegally holding our security bond (which is security for the landlord, not the agent!) Absolutely disgusting and have made all email traffic available to the ombudsmen among other government organisations

The fees are very high, but as soon as the contract is signed they don't do much when emergency happens. There are gas, alarm and security checks, but when water floods the flat nobody cares. This is unacceptable.

Marsh and Parsons didn't even want to send us a cleaner to help us disinfect the floors. Avoid unless you have no other options.

They agent will never be able to redeem themselves in my eyes or my family's. They're impolite, inefficient, unsympathetic, disorganised and crooked.

This agency was initially charming but they completely missold this apartment to me. I should have taken a hint when the previous tenants wouldn't allow them to show the apartment until after they'd moved out.
The week I moved in, the porter of the block informed me that scaffolding was being erected THAT WEEK for four months. I was not informed of this - the scaffolding is currently covering the front and back of the property meaning I don't have any privacy whatsoever - not even in my bathroom window.
I am paying a huge premium for this property because it overlooks Battersea Park - or is supposed to. The agents knew that was the sole reason for my wanting it - so that I could have a view, which I lacked in my previous home.
They did absolutely nothing to help me leave the apartment or find a new tenant nor were they in any way sympathetic to the increased security risk of having a scaffold outside my window with Victorian locks.
Once I'd decided to let the situation go, I then got a letter from them informing me that they were going to come and "inspect" my apartment. They gave me zero choice in this matter. I had to accept their date and (roughly estimated) time and that was that. They kindly said in their letter that I could arrange for someone to be there, if I would like. But since they had the keys, they would just let themselves in anyway. Charming.
I will never EVER rent from this company again and will recommend to all my friends that they run far and fast.

During bidding, I strongly suspect the agent invented other bidders: they refused to tell me where my bid stood relative to others, and the competition magically melted away as soon as I started to have second thoughts.
During subsequent negotiation, the agent introduced a 'rent review' clause speaking on the phone. When I later read it, it turned out to be not a review, but an automatic increase - a totally different thing.
The contract was generic, containing meaningless or impossible clauses: one amusing example was a requirement to mow the lawn, despite there not being a lawn to mow. This weakens a contract, making it difficult to enforce: of it doesn't really mean I have to mow the lawn, how can I be sure it really means I have to pay rent on time?
The agent refused to amend the contract, claiming they were not authorised to do so, despite charging a large sum to draft it. They were unable to provide any break down of the charge for drafting, as might usually be expected.
A couple of other mishaps later, I challenged the agent over their terrible customer service. They told me they were great at customer service, and had won awards. It wasn't clear to me how this knowledge was meant to make me feel any better. Needless to say, no compensation, or goodwill gesture, was offered.

Tom has been amazing from start to finish. He is extremely knowledgeable in both the Battersea and Clapham area and always willing to go the extra mile. He is very good at working out the exact location to suit the customer and in my case even sent out letters to the entire street which I was looking at in an attempt to generate interest from sellers. When organising viewings Tom was always able to get us in last minute and often late in the evening or at the weekends. He was always on time, polite and above all was very honest about every property – even when it came to the negatives. This is extremely refreshing as I often found that other estate agents forced inappropriate properties on me throughout my search and seldom cared about the finding the right place for me. Overall I would highly recommend Tom to anyone looking in the Battersea or Northcote road area, particularly for first time buyers. I have no doubt that without Tom's help the process of finding a property would have been much a far more long and stressful experience.

Tom was polite and approachable throughout the period of our purchase. He was well-informed of the property and of the area and very efficient in finding out all the information we required when it was not readily available. He was excellent at making the time for us to view the property on several occasions, often at short notice and late in the evening when I could get there after work, and he refrained from using any of the usual estate agent jargon (which was refreshing!) and gave us the time to form our own opinions on the flat. He was particularly good at liaising with the vendor for quick answers and to provide reassurances about the sale when lawyers were stalling in their duties. All in all, he made the whole process much easier and more stress-free than it should probably have been for first-time buyers and we would strongly recommend him to anyone wishing to sell/buy a property as his honesty and easy manner distinguish him from his profession. Hope to use him again in the future.

My wife and I are very grateful indeed for all that Charlie Stratfeild and his colleagues, at Marsh and Parsons, did to sell our house within such a very short period of time and for the asking price. We had switched to Marsh and Parsons after Charlie had been so highly recommended by our daughter for whom he had sold a house earlier in the year. Her recommendation was certainly justified as we received many viewings with 48 hours of him taking on the property and an offer was received on the third day, for the full asking price, from a cash buyer. Exchange was achieved within two weeks and completion two weeks after that. Rose, Charlie and Tom were all very professional throughout the very stressful, and sometimes emotional, process of selling our house. Of all the agents that we had over, 6 in total, to view the house Marsh and Parsons were the most pro-active, honest and straightforward with their feedback, I instantly felt comfortably dealing with them. For this reason we went with them. They then photographed and measured quickly, got many viewings done promptly, we ended up with two parties bidding against each other and accepted an offer over asking price, only two weeks later. The senior negotiator acted as advisor, not just agent. I went on to recommend Marsh & Parsons to my parents and many friends and neighbours who are selling and they have been successful for them too (which is a relief)! I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

From the outset they have been honest and reliable in setting expectations and then delivering through with a professional and committed execution ensuring the viewings, exchange and completion went through without any delays or problems.
Their responsiveness , feedback and advice during the whole process has been great, making us feel that the sale was the most important deal on their books. It is not every day that you sell a home and their hands on support was invaluable.
