Goodness knows how this company get 5-star reviews, as the service I've received on behalf of my 81-year-old mother has been beyond appalling. My mother’s fridge freezer broke between Christmas and new year. I reported the issue via the online reporting system and was informed the office was closed as it was still the Christmas holidays. I finally received a call from a member of the lettings team on the 30th December to say their contractor wasn’t available until after new year as he was on holiday. Obviously, we weren’t happy about with the situation, but nothing could be done, so we had to accept it. The contractor eventually visited the property the week later, informing my mother that new parts were needed. Days drifted by with no update as to when these parts would arrive, so I chased FH to see what was happening. I was informed the landlord had authorized a new fridge freezer as the parts were difficult to obtain and that the contractor would place an order straight away for delivery asap. That was 2 weeks ago and we’re still waiting. I have now been promised the appliance will be with my mother tomorrow (Thursday) but I’m not sure if I can believe this as she has already been let down 3 times and every time the date has changed, tomorrows date being the 4th. This complete debacle would be frustrating enough for anyone, but my mother is 81 next month: she lives alone: has arthritis in her hands and feet - along with having had part of her lung removed last year, following a diagnosis of cancer - and suffers from COPD. The regular trips that she has had to make to the shops, for nearly a month, have been extremely tiring, stressful and mentally draining for her, not to mention the extra money she’s had to spend - I don’t live near my mother, so am unable to help regularly and when I call to hear her crying, saying she can’t cope, it is most frustrating and upsetting. It is unfortunate that I have had to resort to expressing myself online, but I have now sent 2 emails to FH, firstly to ask for some kind of compensation from the landlord for the extra expense my mother has incurred because of the delay, and secondly to voice my utter dissatisfaction with the lack of customer service, care or consideration given to my mother and her situation. It should be a matter of priority for FH to ensure they have efficient contractors that are able to address tenants needs as quickly as possible, and that certainly has not been the case with this issue. I could have ordered and arranged for Curry’s to fit a new fridge freezer in a matter of days, so why this contractor couldn’t purchase the same sooner is completely beyond me. The service my mother has received from yourselves and the contractor is utterly appalling and not acceptable.
Please don't insult me any more by saying your sorry the experience I received warranted a 1 star review and that feedback is important to you, It doesn't wash!

Awful customer service by the agent Thomas in Preston, we had to call him and email him all the time to ask for next steps or any document the office needed from us, he never called us or gave us more options, simply he decided to ignore us! 3 weeks waiting people! Asking so many stuff that at the end we provided as we were very interested in renting the property. 1 week before our contract ended in the place we were living they tell us that the landlord didnt choose us, I don't mind the landlord didn't choose us but the time they made us waste in their process of ignoring us. My husband is a landlord and if you landlord are reading this avoid this company! And if you are looking to rent a place don't go with this company. Thanks God we found a place in 1 week otherwise we would be homeless right now.

We contacted Farrell Heyworth Lune Steet Preston regarding a property on the street where we actually live we left a message regarding our interest also expressing our anxiety about it being sold before we had a chance to put an offer on it I was told someone contact me as soon as possible the following morning are our doorbell went and there stood on the doorstep was Chris Plumpton the branch manager himself from the minute we met Chris he reassured my husband and I he would deal with everything and we had nothing to worry about he literally took us by the hand and guided us through all the difficult procedures in a very calm and reassuring manner I cannot thank Farrell Heyworth enough for all the help they're branch manager has given us and obviously the people behind the scenes including Tony Medley the mortgage advisor that we used again advised by Farrell Heyworth. Farrell Hayworth (Chris Plumpton) have been an absolute pleasure to deal with I would strongly recommend him in particular to relieve a lot of the stress out of purchasing a new home.

Let me start by saying this is not the land lords fault but the actual agent company they hired to manage the property i paid 1 years rent up front after the 1 year rental i was never given a renewal contact 3 years later there was an issue with mould this was never delt with and i even complained to the council as this is a health and safety issue then the bathroom develops a leak behind the tiles this then caused thousands of pounds of damage to flats below and cause a massive headache they send out 2 4 people to try and fix the issue theu send out 1 guy he does a temp fix then the issue comes back 2 months later so then He has to come out agajn i the. Complain again about the mould this caused damage to furniture on top of this checking out of the property was the worst thing i have ever had to do i spend my own money on furniture and have to bin it as the wood has rotten farrel heyworth cant and refused every time to come fix the issue i then get billed stupid amounts for nothing i paid 550 deposit + 12k upfront guess how much i get back? 150 oh and when i complained about mould direct to the landlord i get a section 21 notice i left withing 10 days

Very disappointed. Viewed a property * on 29th of September I paid the fees and provided all the documents I knew that will be needed, even last 6 months of bank statement for both applicants,knowing that this will speed up the income references. After that nobody called me to give updates regarding my application, even I've called the weekly and send to the agent Emma Bedford and to the management department. No calls back and no email replies. WHY? After 2 week I've paid the fees the references company send us the references forms. Why did the agency sent them my application so late? Even today I've called to find out what's going on with my moving date, after I completed all the references and everything was fine. I've been told that they will call me to let me know, probably as usual. 0 calls back 0 emails.

Worst Estate agent in the north west by far! Brilliant at the start but as soon as you start paying them money they offer you no support with repairs and don't answer the phone!
I've had a leak in the roof for 3 months and after ringing up a total of 34 times when they said they'll get someone round to look at it they have said its not their issue.
I've had to wait until the 6 months has passed so I can move out and never deal with them again!

These are the most ridiculous excuse for a landlord I have ever come across. Granted it was my first time renting a house but they made it a completely miserable experience.
The only time you can get hold of them is when they want something from you. They slap INSANE charges on you for "cleaning" after you leave. The man who carried out the inspection was so anal he actually moaned about cobwebs that we had overlooked, oh and crumbs on the kitchen side, which were only there due to the fact that he arrived early (quote "The only time you can get hold of them is when they want something from you" i.e your bond). We were accused of being liars multiple times and the property inspector told us to bugger off during the inspection.
They left us without heating electricity or hot water at multiple times through the tenancy and they had the cheek to try and slap us with a charge they were responsible for. When the electrician finally (after almost two weeks) arrived, he advised us to dry out a plug socket with a hair dryer which obviously caused problems which they then once again tried to charge us for.
All the way through the tenancy we had black mould infesting the walls and were told the landlord was fully aware and even now after 7 months the black mould is still not sorted. Shocking communication and pathetic customer service. Tactical staff that butter you up until you sign the contract and then they are nowhere to be seen. On the rare occasions we managed to get hold of them, we got through to rude and incompetent staff. I would go on but there isn't enough time in the world.
Avoid at all costs. Better to be homeless that deal with them. P.S.: again I was forced to give them more than what they deserve. A star.

Had a very bad experience with these people, i dont think they actually know what they are doing.Came out took poor pictures was on the market 3 months nothing at all no enquiries phone calls etc, was then told how low would you go???? The girl on the end of the phone upon calling their office from time to time was very rude and bad mannered. I would not recommend anyone to market their property with them, needless to say we are now with someone else and their sheer professionalism has impressed me from day 1 , Farrrel & Heyworth more like Laurel & Hardy.
