We've rented properties many times in the last ten years but this was the first experience with Angus Roberts. As with the previous review I have just read, "David" was unprofessional and rude. Regardless of how clean and tidy a home is left - it will still need a "light cleaning"! Many things were pointed out (by us, the tenants) upon our move in but forgotten the moment we were moving out. David has a selective memory and the rudeness begins almost immediately after the last inspection starts. I highly advise that you record your move-in process as this will protect you from the memory issues he will suddenly acquire and I also advise that you save ALL emails and postal correspondence as your proof of these communications. Regardless of who you deal with within the Ilkley branch, avoid David like the black plague. It's your bond money that secures the property from damage so you should have the right to protect it by avoiding a person that is consistently a scammer. There are others within that office that do their job professionally and get things done well so don't be put off by the estate agent themselves - just "David" - AVOID.
Professionalism is key to good business. Sacking the rude employees would be a good start to achieving that goal.

Professionalism is key to good business. Sacking the rude employees would be a good start to achieving that goal.

I felt that the real estate agent was more eager to get me to pay more than 400 GBP just to get trough the approval process than to convince me to actually rent the property. Behaved appropriately and not shouted abuse.
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
