We originally bought our house through Keith Ian, so when we decided to sell we chose to use the agent that knew it already. Unfortunately, their apathy left a lot to be desired and the "For Sale" sign was nailed through our low brick front wall such that the strong winds battered the sign and broke our wall apart. Keith Ian wouldn't accept liability for this (It was the fault of the sign man apparently - who they employed and should therefore take responsibility for). After several months of emails and phone calls, we resigned ourselves to paying the full £400 to repair the wall. They had done very little to market the house so we pulled out of our relationship with them and came off the market for a while. I cannot recommend them at all and advise anyone else to steer clear.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Keith Ian could have refunded or part paid the cost of the wall repairs for which we still believe they are liable.

We were told very wrong information about a perspective let, to start we always ask first hand about what they require for referencing fees and check with what they require as an appropriate salary etc, and were assured all was fine. These guys are fine until you want to leave. They tried everything to keep my deposit. It was really really bad and I am furious about being treated in this way. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
