I viewed a property on Saturday 12th April via Eaton Properties. While the property was in poor condition in places, I was happy to put in an offer. I was assured by Jenny that someone would contact me to discuss matters and to move things forward. I waited...and waited...and waited. Today I decided to give Jenny a call to chase matters up, and was informed by Peter that the property had been taken by someone else. I asked when, and was informed that the tenant had viewed the property on Monday 14th April- days after I had seen it and expressed interest in taking it. I am terribly disappointed by this, and as such would not recommend Eaton Properties to anyone looking for an estate agent with strong communication skills. I would not want anyone else to get their hopes up by viewing with them. The likelihood is that the property will be offered to someone else. Thankfully, a more reputable high street agent has helped me to secure somewhere much nicer.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Stronger/any communication Awarding property based on expressed interest- first come first served as opposed to whatever other criteria you have used

I have a buy to let property in Forest Hill and the tenant moved out. I used Eaton Properties just to find me a new tenant. They seemed to know their stuff, found a tenant really quickly so the property didn't sit empty and they were the cheapest in the area that I found. Will use them ... Read Full Review

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
