I found the agent Jmc the most horrendously unprofessional, incompetent and rude agents I have ever had the misfortune of meeting and dealing with. Throughout my tendency they failed to respond or action any of my communications or requests. An example being that for five months of my tendency I had to not only contend with a leaking toilet that was reported immediately but also then an horrendous infestation of black flies again that where reported neither of which resulted in any action whatsoever to rectify. At the conclusion of my tenancy again Jmc failed to answer or action any of my contact which then resulted in a long and protracted battle through the DPS to even get the process of recovering full or even part of my bond due to the fact that despite numerous correspond ace from the DPS they also where ignored by Jmc until direct contact was made by a DPS supervisor following complaint. When contacting Jmc to speak with them on the phone I was subjected to a barrage of rude and dismissive attitude which was extremely upsetting and would not wish upon anyone. In my dealings with this agent I can only say that it is this type of agent and the way in which they conduct themselves that may give rise to a bad name for estate agents, which is wholly unfair on the majority of agents who deal with their customers with professionalism and courtesy. I was appalled in every way in which Jmc dealt with me and would wholly advise any person who is looking for a property to rent to stay well clear of this terrible agent and the truly unsavoury and rude individuals who work there. I have never before felt so compelled to complain about such terrible behaviour and incompetent service, but only hope that by doing so at least possible one or more people will not also fall foul of this agent
Act in a professional manner. Full fill the role of agent by at least answering all correspondence from the tenant especially in relation to aspects of the property that pose a risk to health and safety. Treat and speak to its customers in a professional and Courteous manner and subject them to a barrage of rudeness and abuse on the phone if the tenant is trying to report or speak regarding matters relating to his or her tenancy. Act in an expeditious manner with regards to complaints or in relation to matter that if ignored result in the delay or loss of bond. Start behaving like a professional letting agent not a cowboy outfit

Agent should: - respond to requests for maintenance - allow tenant(s) sufficient time to review inventory & property - not extort tenant for references - be willing to meet tenant at property for inspection - not pre-fill portions of tenancy agreement which are to be filled by tenant

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
