Interesting to read the reviews on this site and pleased to read the majority have the same opinion as me! Untrustworthy, uncooperative, poor communication skills and rude sums JMC up!!! Yes Colin starts off as the ideal representation of an Estate Agent but once he has your business and money he doesn't give a dam about the landlord or tenants! He takes your money and fobs you off! My opinion is he doesn't represent the tenant or the landlord and just looks after himself!!!! Steer clear landlords and prospective sellers or renters you have been warned!

DO NOT USE, EVER! They will: - Force you to stay in your contract and pay rent if you try to exit the contract before your fixed term ends. Don't use these people. They are expensive with lots of hidden costs you don't see until you are in the property. They are miserable, unfriendly lack basic communication skills. It's always "I'll get back to you"......you'll be lucky !!!! Rubbish, no confidence in them ... Read Full Review

I would definitely warn any potential customers of JMC to think about it before committing they are awful. Initially Colin (it's his business) is very nice , but how he changes once he's got hold of your money is unbelievable . JMC did basically nothing other than show 2 lots of interested ... Agent should: - respond to requests for maintenance - allow tenant(s) sufficient time to review inventory & property - not extort tenant for references - be willing to meet tenant at property for inspection - not pre-fill portions of tenancy agreement which are to be filled by tenant

What agent could do to change your mind?
Act in a professional manner. Full fill the role of agent by at least answering all correspondence from the tenant especially in relation to aspects of the property that pose a risk to health and safety. Treat and speak to its customers in a professional and Courteous manner and subject them to a barrage of rudeness and abuse on the phone if the tenant is trying to report or speak regarding matters relating to his or her tenancy. Act in an expeditious manner with regards to complaints or in relation to matter that if ignored result in the delay or loss of bond. Start behaving like a professional letting agent not a cowboy outfit

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
