This estate/lettings agent was vague about our enquiry to rent a property from our first telephone call. The staff were totally disinterested in our, or it seemed the property owners needs. After many telephone calls, they said a deposit was made to rent, without telling us that other parties were interested. Looking back on it, it now seems there was an element of "favouritism" might have been given to another party ? Very odd, very poor sales technique and I do wonder why people place their business with this company !!

the fee was £240 which I queried as being excessive as other agents in the area were charging £100. I was told it was because the£240 was a one off payment covering all future administration, this has since been denied by the agent.

-When the house was beyond repair and harmful to health with severe damp, we asked to find another property with the company, they obliged but only offered us one which still had occupants in it and when we went to view it, it took us all of 5 minutes, as the house was filthy and covered in mould up the walls. I asked Gareth what he thought of the state of the property and he shrugged his shoulders and walked into another room. -When we handed our notice in, they were extremely rude to us and did not want to sign a copy to ensure they had received it. Their attitude to existing customers is awful and often try to overpower you when you raise issues with jargon unrelated to the topic.
Heavily overpriced compared to competitors around once we looked into it. We found for the property we were paying approx £75-£100 more per month on rent than other competing properties in the area. We have now found a dwelling which is £100 cheaper a month and is the same size with a bigger garden.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
