I searched for a flat using John Payne in 2012. Unlike most other agents in the area, John Payne showed a lot of integrity, were friendly and never provided misinformation, and I was quite impressed with them. One weakness is that they are not very dynamic- for example after I was gazumped on my 1st offer, they could have shown some dynamicism and tried to show me some more properties but they seemed a bit laidback. But all in all, I would rather have that over dishonesty, after seeing the other agents in the area, so I would happily recommend John Payne to anyone looking to buy in Greenwich.

I would not recommend John Payne for lettings at all. Initially they are very proactive and are helpful to find tenants for letting a property. However, once I had the tenants in it was so painful! Got a property let in West Greenwich by John Payne, contract renewed at the beginning of the year and paid the fees for renewal. Pity is that the tenant never signed the renewal, on purpose, and John Payne did not even informed me. Terrible service, avoid... Read Full Review

Rented a flat with John Payne, agent was difficult to get hold of, never communicated what was going on with myself and flatmate so we were constantly chasing him up.
