[[EDIT ORIGINAL START]] Morgans are dreadful dishonest liars! We place a deposit on a property and passed the referencing process. Before we left the deposit, we told them that we wanted the place fully furnished. They said this would not be an issue and the place would be furnished before we move in. A few days before we were going to move in, they informed us that the washer/dryer would be delivered after we moved in and the landlord would be replacing the sofa in the property also after we moved in. We told them that we wanted the washer/dryer in the property and the sofa replaced before we moved into the property, because if the people delivering these items damaged the property in the process we would be liable for the damage caused. Morgans then informed the landlord that we were no longer interested in the property and refused to return our deposit. We contacted the landlord directly and explained the situation. The landlord wanted a copy of the referencing report to provide to another agent they had engaged. Morgans refused to provide a copy of the report and as a result we lost the property and our deposit. We had 24 hours to find another property to live in. I would definitely NOT recommend Morgans for landlords or tenants. [[EDIT ORIGINAL END]] Morgans are dreadful! We placed a deposit on a property and passed the referencing process. 28 Oct 2011We do not take deposits from any tenants at point of references - its also illegal for any agent to not return a deposit - just maybe this person/persons would like to see the codes that Morgans adhere to - and if they can find a reason why Morgans acted wrongly then the MD will offer a double your money compensation!!!!!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
