If you want to have to chase basic things like your statement and rent every month then Acres are the ones for you. All work quoted for at the premises goes to the same firm and always comes back very expensive, fence job quoted at £ 400 plus eventually organised by myself for £ 150. And don't dare question its quality once it is done.I'm sure acres are great if you are a tenant however if you are a land lord honestly don't bother they are not interested in what you have to say.

6 Feb 2015Our automated computer system sends out landlord statements as soon as the rent is generated by the system. Rent is paid out to the landlord on the day that it clears in our Client account, but I have been made aware by other landlord's that it can take up to two days to show clear in the landlord's account with certain banks. We always try to source the best possible quotes for our clients and where possible obtain two quotes. However, I do understand that if fencing is fixed by the landlord themselves then the labour cost would be removed. We are pleased that you have remained a valued client of ours to this day.

From personal experience as a tenant of theirs, this is absolutely rubbish. We didn't once have 2 quotes carried out for any single job that was carried out at the property in 15 months (and there were alot jobs carried out unfortunately). Most notably was when a company came around to repair electric gates and quoted £600 for a new circuit board. I felt 2 quotes/opinions should have been sourced given the price of this and I even said this to the Agent, but they were not interested at all. This is clearly not in the interest of the Landlord. I didn't feel that a new circuit board was required and so when they came to repair it I monitored their work closely. It was found that it was simply a loose electrical cable and did not need a new circuit board. So how was it 'not possible' to obtain 2 quotes for all the maintenance/repair work undertaken at the property we were at ? I've never dealt with such an irresponsible and unprofessional company in my life. They are absolutely appalling - seriously.

Their only interest is to let the property and get the commission. They did lie about maintenance work that they said the landlords would carry out but never did.
