I wanted to be able to leave a good review of Lanes after the completion of my first property purchase, but alas, it only took a couple of days for the dishonest, deceitful, and outright unethical practices of this business to come to light. Our surveyor was unable to test the water and plumbing of the property as it was switched off at the external stop tap during the survey. After enquiring via both our solicitors and Lanes to the location of the stop tap, Kevin called up to give this information (partially, leaving out a very key detail), and even had the cheek to tell us to follow through with the purchase without testing it. So, after asking multiple times Lanes finally let us test the water, which was passable at best, but at least it worked right? Only after moving in do we find out Kevin had ommited a key detail, that there is an additional stop tap in our neighbours garden controlling the water to the property - and when turned on leaks into the next door neighbours kitchen... which the neighbour had told the seller to fix, but it never was. No wonder Kevin and Lanes were hesitant to let us test the water (which unbeknownst to us had leaked into next doors kitchen when it was turned on for us to test). Buyers beware, this business is happy to operate in an incredibly unprofessional, deceitful, and quite frankly sly manner. If Kevin is pressuring you to do or avoid something, it's probably worth a more thorough investigation.

Do not in anyway buy via this Estate Agent on a new build property; please it really is not worth it regardless of the condition of the property. They quickly get you to exchange to hold your money and then they pull the contract from under you. Their main goal is to get people to hold properties... Read Full Review
