Decided to put my house with them Nov 2020. Bit slow before Xmas but had couple viewing. Picked up a bit late Jan. Their agent never seemed very enthusiastic when showing people around. Decided to put my house with them Nov 2020. Bit slow before Xmas but had couple viewing. Picked up a bit late Jan. Their agent never seemed very enthusiastic when showing people around. Also didn't return calls or send through confirmations of bookings or changes. Crux came when not told about a cancellation and when both my daughter tried to speak to the inappropriately named Lord, he was so rude he spoke over the top of us and was actually downright rude. and they want 1% plus VAT of a sizeable sale price for that kind of service!! I don't think so. So sellers beware of incompetence, inefficiency and downright rudeness in dealing with the Cheshunt branch of Lanes.

I arranged a viewing for a property and was told details would be sent to me; nothing was. Just as well I called the day before my viewing to confirm and was told nothing was booked in and if I could come earlier in the day instead. I Got there at the agreed time and 5 minutes later I rang the agency as I couldn't see any sign of the agent. I was told to knock as someone was already inside. A couple of minutes later a very young girl came to door. She didn't introduce herself, shake our hand or insinuate any interaction whatsoever and was dressed in an unprofessional manner. She just told us to come in and handed us the brochure with details of the property. We asked to see the garden and she bluntly replied that she didn't have the key. We went upstairs and had a little look around. When we came down we asked about the energy usage certificate/council tax band to which we were told

Never turned up on viewing when they said they would. Turned up once without letting me know at 9:30 AM on a saturday morning! when i said everyone was still asleep he told me i must not be very bothered about selling my house! they never gave me any calls after viewings to let me know how it went. ...
