⭐ 1 Star I've been dealing with Aubrey and Finn Estate Agents for nearly a month now just trying to get paid for work I've already completed. It's been an absolute nightmare. Every time I chase up payment, I'm met with excuses, delays, and complete lack of communication from Darlyne, the Lettings Property Manager. I've been told that the reason I haven't been paid is because they failed to pay their landlord for months, even while the property was tenanted. Now the landlord is refusing to pay me, which is ridiculous. There are four payments they've held onto for over a month. The boss is apparently always “off with a hangover or has COVID,” so nothing ever gets resolved. At one point, I was owed £3,700, and I had to refuse to do any more work until I got some payment. Even after pushing hard, I've only managed to get it down to £1,400, and it's still not looking good. I've even had the go-ahead to do more work, worth about £1,000, but I've refused because I'm still waiting on what I'm already owed. Tenants are now contacting me directly, trying to get essential repairs done, but I've had to tell them I can't do anything until I get paid. It's a disgrace because these tenants are living in substandard conditions, and landlords are not getting their properties looked after properly. When I checked their reviews, it became clear why so many people are upset with them. They treat people terribly. We all have bills to pay, but they just don't seem to care. Every time they asked for help, we were on it instantly, but when it's time to pay, they fob you off and blame people who “aren't in the office that day.” It's a common theme with them. I've been left with no choice but to issue final demands and start legal proceedings. It's such a shame. How hard is it to pay for work you instructed? The tenants have paid their rent, but landlords and service contractors are both struggling to get their money. It's awful. Avoid this company at all costs. Just read the other reviews out there – it's clear I'm not the only one who's had a terrible experience.
