Avoid at all costs. Had the worst experience with SDL. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Arrived 3-4 hours late to appointment and when contacted to chase had no idea where their surveyor was. Gave a ‘nil valuation’ for absolutely comical reasons, then on the level 2 homebuyers they’ve provided a value and the comical reasons were actually in fact in the green section and of ‘no issue and no repairs needed’. This is forcing me to change lenders causing undue stress and financial pressure which as a first time single buyer is the last thing I need. Absolute cowboys please do not make the same mistake I did and pay them any money. I am reporting to RICS in the hope they listen and take action.

These people no knowing about valuation. if you get lower valuation from SDL, go to RICS and get help and make a complain. They cant even do simple search to find local market sold prices. All I can say about this company is rude. They initially rang to book an appointment for a surveyor to come look at the property for the following day. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
