SDL Surveying

All I can say about this company is rude. They initially rang to book an appointment for a surveyor to come look at the property for the following day. I said that wasn't possible but they were really pushy and rude, however I stood my ground. The following day they came round anyway and tried to force their way into the house by saying "I'm here now so you may as well let me in!" Not a chance! So I reminded him of the phone conversation and closed the door. The following day they called again asking to "rearrange the meeting" (which was never arranged in the first place) claiming they "didn't know what happened". I reiterated that we were unable to facilitate this week and it would have to be the following week. Again they were difficult on the phone, stating that the survey had to be done as soon as possible and demanding a reason for the delay. I gave the reason, and they reluctantly agreed to wait until the following Monday. In retrospect, I feel that I shouldn't have had to have given a reason as it is frankly no business of the surveyors and they should work around the tenants when expecting to enter someone's home, not expect the tenants to drop everything to facilitate them. In addition, I was told on the phone I would receive a phone call on Monday morning giving a timeslot to expect the surveyor to arrive. Instead, with no call and no booked time, someone turned up at 8:30 AM. I was still in my pajamas and had not yet cleaned up the house so I felt embarrassed and put on the spot. I allowed the surveyor to complete their survey if only to put an end to the string of unprofessionalism. In defence of this surveyor, unlike the previous one, they were polite enough and followed appropriate covid precautions, but this is not enough to raise my experience above the minimum rating. I was extremely disappointed, inconvenienced, and offended by the whole experience.
