LANDLORDS AVOID. Foxtons has been letting my 1 bed flat for 7 years and the latest tenancy was supposed to be a single lady but it turned out to be a couple with 2 children under 5. My flat was raided by the police halfway through the tenancy and the husband was arrested on drugs charges. Despite this I served notice to the tenants in order to sell the property through Foxtons. After the tenants moved out all of the furniture was damaged or stolen, the children had drawn over the bottom of the walls and the tops of the walls were badly marked from tape, the flat wasn't cleaned and they had failed to report massive cracks in the walls which turned out to be serious subsidence. The service I received when the tenants left was non-existent. Nobody returned my calls for 5 days, the check-out report was missing most of the damage. I was calling daily to organize decorators, nobody cared, nobody tried to help, it was only at the point of tears on the phone that anything was done. I was told by property management that there is no policy for them to liaise with front offices at the end of managed tenancies, so basically you're on your own. I spent nearly £10k repairing the flat and I was told if we hadn't heard from the tenants within 3 months the £1500 deposit would come to me. 3 1/2 months later of course I haven't heard anything so I email them and receive a response to say the tenants actually are disputing the claims. I contacted mydepsoits myself and they said they can't give out specifics but they would advise I have Foxtons submit my evidence ASAP suggesting the deadline is nearly here. I have tried to find out more information but it's radio silence again. I emailed on Monday, followed up with a call on Wednesday and it's close of business Thursday and still nothing (this is completely typical). The property condition was upsetting enough but it's dealing with Foxtons that has made it unbelievably stressful. I cannot explain the frustration I have felt over the last 4 months. Foxtons is SO expensive (I have been paying them 17% + VAT for 7 years) but when the chips are down they don't care and they don't deliver. I am writing this review out of absolute desperation. I tried to escalate my complaint to Viral Ruparel when the tenants left and to find out the current situation with the deposit but he never calls or emails me back and I have run out of ideas.

After arriving to London I primarily was using the services of Foxtons to search for properties. After putting in offers two times to Foxton managed properties which were then accepted by the landlords of the properties I would receive calls within 24 hours that the landlord suddenly changed their... Agent's Fees are very high for Foxtons and you do not get the level of service one would expect to match the fees so go with a smaller company that charges less and does more.

Looking for a flat to rent we met so many rude unprofessional letting agents. Then we had been contacted by Michael Clarkson from Foxtons North Finchley who was completely different in the way he worked - always well prepared for property viewing and our questions, patient, punctual and to the... They managed my case very bad. Most of the information I was given before moving into the property were proved to be false. Worse than that, the manager would not accept that they gave wrong information and accused me of lying. In some cases that they accepted, they wouldn't even make an honest... Read Full Review
The agent could have been honest. Instead of trying to deface me or doubt my integrity, they could have listened to me. The manager\'s behavior was extremely impolite.

Callum, the manager and Adam Thornton, the sales negotiator went beyond the call of duty in assisting us in selling our home. The property was empty whilst the sale went through and we lived a 5hour journey away so whenever I asked them to check the property it was done on the same day. Also they... Read Full Review

I am writing about my recent experience with Foxtons agent Emma Pask who helped me and my family find a flat to live in, in less than a week. We had a place set up and ready in Perivale however the current tenants refused to move out 3 days before we were supposed to move in. The agent in Ealing... Read Full Review
