Struggle to give one star. I was supposed to be buying a property through auction at Low Fell branch. I won the auction and paid my deposit this was end of March. At this time I had sold my family home and was going through a separation. I was told that the property had a problem with the freehold. I was also told that the property had been sold twice before on the open market but had fallen through because of the freehold. After taking advice from the auction manager, he explained to me that an indemnity insurance would solve this problem and any high street lender would give me the mortgage. I took his advice as these people are supposed to be professional. The freehold had still not been resolved but the owner of the property agreed I could still move in and rent the property until the freehold was resolved. I did move into the property in April. Then weeks later my solicitor informed me that the indemnity insurance was not acceptable as the actual freehold did not even exist, meaning the property was not registered at all. This was going to take a long time to register the freehold. Cut a long story short, I came back off holiday on 15th September to a section 21 notice from the owner. This was giving me two months to find a new home, bearing in mind I had stupidly spent thousands on the property as I was continuesly told the property would be mine eventually. I have made numerous calls to the auction manager and the branch manager and even sent an email to Sarah Mains the director, she has not replied. I'm now thousands of pounds out of pocket on antidepressants suffering from stress and anxiety. It has taken me weeks and weeks to get my deposit back which I received on 1st November. I am now expected to find a suitable property in 6 days. I will keep you updated and thank you for taking the time to read this. Joanne

Shocking and disgusting treatment of tenants. Absolutely disappointed with Sarah mains. They definitely doesn't stand on your site - doesn't mind if you lose extra few thousands pounds so that they can get the deal and their commission.
