Phoned the agents the first day a house was available to rent. Was told that no viewing are being arranged yet as the place is still tenanted so they took my details to call me back. Called again a few days later, same story. Called again a week later and again same story. Called 2 days after that and suddenly the house was already let out!!! Bunch of scam artists at Mays in Lilliputian. AVOID! A friend is looking to buy to let and I will be sharing the incompetence of this company with him so she can tell his Landlord community.

14 Oct 2022Hi Michael. We are so sorry you feel like this and hope you accept our apologies for any stress and inconvenience this has caused you. We understand you were unable to attend the original appointment offered to yourself when we were carrying out further viewings on the property. Due to the property currently being tenanted, we must liaise with the tenants to arrange suitable dates and times to revisit before booking any further appointments. As a result of the viewings we already had booked in, we received an offer from another applicant which was accepted by the landlord, and therefore they now wish to proceed with this tenancy. We always endeavour to offer a professional first class service and can only apologise again that you feel this was not the case on this occasion. If we can be of any assistance to you in the future, we will, of course, be happy to help.

Have to agree with the other reviews. We have dealt with Mays at Poole and sadly however nice or helpful some staff are, the leadership team is an extraordinary nightmare to deal with. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
