The worst experience renting of my life. Complete incompetence. Brighton leaders are blatantly racist, disrespectful, and are extremely dishonest. My family and I have been renting from leaders for years now and it is very apparent that the standards of living/renting have declined significantly. Last year I rented an apartment for 8 months (after sticking me with an apartment I did not want). One month in, I was told that there would be works taking place for three months in the terrace a floor below me. The works carried out for 6 months and I kept complaining to leaders and was met with nothing. Just an empty apology explaining that it was out of their hands. Bare in mind that I am diabetic and sleep is very vital for me, my glucose levels were skyrocketing for an entire 6 months and I could do nothing about it. The works were so intense to the point that the walls in my apartment began to crack and they also did nothing about it. The following two months I was harassed by leaders about a complaint about me smoking weed which couldn't be farther from the truth. There was no formal investigation, just someone who pinned it on the brown Muslim in the building (me). This year when renting with them I decide to give them another chance since I did like the Marina itself. I rented for another year in order to complete my studies. So far there has been: 1. Mold in the wood flooring in my apartment that I wasn't made aware of until after moving in (they did not include this in any paperwork). 2. My sensors that track my glucose levels have been stolen along other parcel deliveries. Some have been stolen from my front door (a total of 7 have been stolen). I have also complained to security and to leaders and instead of actually helping they said that they did not deal with these matters and that any common area is out of their hands and were extremely unhelpful (no surprise). 3. They have also stopped answering emails when i asked to extend my contract due to unforeseeable circumstances. One day I woke up and found a Leaders representative and a few people IN MY APARTMENT WITHOUT PERMISSION. Apparently they we're having a viewing for my apartment and did not have the human decency to tell me they wanted me out of the apartment nor gave me a notice. Instead of telling me they accepted an offer from other people who have since drawn up a contract and have paid. I am now being told to move out for no reason. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM.
