1 star given as couldn't give zero. Offered on a Simon Blyth property only to find when the surveyor went in that they had over valued it by £85k as they had marketed it against new builds in the local area. They refused to accept they were at any fault and said the vender wanted to meet us in the middle. We said we were not paying over 40k more for a house than what it was worth and they kept us hanging for a week. We had to chase them daily for updates and they kept telling us that the vender wouldn't go below a certain price. We then decided to look at other houses. We then found out from the vender a week later that they wanted to sell to us at the price the surveyor and had asked Simon Blyth to tell us this but the estate agent hadn't told us this and instead told the vendors that we were unreasonable encouraged them to put their house back on the market. told the vendors that they felt we were being unreasonable. When we told the estate agent we were pulling out of the sale and why we were, the very rude woman on the phone said she didn't want to hear our complaint and put the phone down on us. We are £1000 worse off in wasted searches and surveys but we just feel so sorry for the lovely couple we were buying off and hope they never use this estate agent again

Utterly dreadful customer service. Constant rotation of staff, no Hanover or file review between so no idea where our sale was at, they didn't lead with anything, only completed actions when chased and generally asked us to complete follow ups. They were so rude to our buyer we thought we might... Read Full Review

This company has given good service up to May 2014 when the staff changed in the lettings department. Our property has been empty since. We had an interested prospective tenant but they were not communicated to until approximately two weeks had passed and can only assume they had lost confidence.... Read Full Review
Acted professionally and diverted calls to the holmfirth branch while having staff changeovers. Signed keys in and out of the key store.

Cannot believe quite how incompetent this company is, or at least the Wakefield branch. My husband and I had a viewing for a property which was cancelled by the estate agents due to an offer being received, instead of a polite phone call explaining the situation I received a call very blunt call...
