Such an unethical estate agent! They practically force genuine buyers to use their Mortgage advisor, Conveyancing service to put your offer, even when we had our Agreement in Principle Certificate sorted, our own solicitor/notary of trust and proof of funds available. This is the first time an estate agent act in such a dodgy and arrogant manner. The manager in Southbourne branch, demonstrated a very unprofessional attitude and breached our confidentiality rights, which is now being reported to ICO. Disgraceful experience and nasty service.

9 Jul 2021Thank you for your valued feedback - we are proud to work in the best interests of our vendors. As part of our due diligence process we financially check ALL our buyers. Nobody is forced to use our mortgage or conveyancing services, but all genuine buyers with nothing to hide are required to confirm their ability to buy, their current position and their identity. These checks are carried out by a qualified mortgage consultant and form part of the most recent Anti-Money Laundering regulations. An agreement in principle is based on very basic information given by a borrower - It is not proof that someone can actually get a mortgage and cannot be considered as such. There has been no confidentiality breach and your "right to be forgotten" request has been carried out in full. We take our duty of care very seriously - and we will always confirm a buyers ability to purchase - will always be suspicious of anyone who deliberately withholds or gives false information. Shouting and swearing at someone on the phone who is only doing their job is indeed disgraceful but I wish you well in your property search anyway.

12 Jul 2021Fortunately ICO forced you to follow my ‘Right to Erasure’ as you clearly denied it in writing and wanted to continue sending emails and keeping our private information for 3 years. It was my mistake for not investigating your well deserved terrible public reputation before I arranged my viewing for that property. I hope you manage to improve your practice towards a more ethical and professional standard.

Very poor for letting landlord properties. The management department failed to deal with issues to the property. Staff come and go and always a new person that needs to be brought up to speed. Landlords pay letting agents to help and in this instance I felt they were an unnecessary middle man... Read Full Review

My partner and I have recently moved out of a property rented out by connells. We had nothing but problem after problem whilst we were living there. Mouldy property to begin with - we are now being charged for this. Whenever there had been some kind of issue within the property, connells were... Read Full Review

I have dealt mainly with Lowri Thomas in the management of my rented out property. Making sure that the maintenance is satisfactory for tenants when 150 miles away is not easy but Lowri has been highly pro-active in insuring this has been done - quickly (often within seconds!), pleasantly and... Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
