I read all the negativity about deposits, and can confirm sadly it is all true. I have politely asked multiple times for our deposit, i get ignored or brushed off, so after waiting a few weeks i went straight to the deposit protection scheme directly. I emailed in the videos i took of how clean the property i vacated was left, pictures, even text messages from the landlord instructing eden lettings to RETURN MY DEPOSIT, once they saw this along with the fact the property had been rented out again so quickly,my deposit was returned immediately. I dont know why they go about things in the manner they do, as it seems ridiculous to me to create issues when there are none. I even showed two of there potential customers around the property i was vacating, as eden lettings didnt turn up to show them around as they forgot the appointments. Luckily for me, i had read all the negative reviews previously,so i had all evidence,just incase i ever needed it......sadly i did need it. Everything i have said here is 100% factual and correct, i have all messages to prove everthing i said is true. It seems to me,that certain letting agents enjoy the "power" they have,or they think they have,of being as awkward as possible,so again my advice is use common sense, keep message requests,emails etc, contact your deposit scheme directly as i did. I hope this helps others.

10 Sept 2020We are sorry you are not happy with the deposit release, however a check out inspection has to be completed to release a deposit. You requested the deposit when you gave notice 9.7.2020. The tenancy end date given was the 25.8.2020, then the check out was completed early as requested, we even collected the keys from your new property and the deposit was released in full on the 21.8.20. As per the terms of the tenancy and DPS, we fully adhered to the terms and timelines. We have a duty to our landlord to ensure everything is checked and correct.

14 Sept 2020Uhhh no ??♂️??♂️. I would think before typing if i were you. The landlord told you weeks before to return the deposit. You also kept making appointments and not turning up,so i showed two families around the property,one of whom is renting the flat now. Not arguing with you,i deal in facts, plus we had no tenancy with you,we had one with the landlord so you are not relevant in this at all,apart from the deposit aspect.

Firstly,WE HAD NO TENANCY WITH YOU,we had our own tenancy between us and the landlord so your comments about "your duty" towards the landlord make no sense, as he already told you to return it to us weeks before this. Secondly,you kept making appointments for people to view,and you didnt turn up twice, as i showed two families around the property on your behalf,one of which is renting it currently. If you are going to lie,make sure you cant back it up. Thankyou
