I came across a small commercial property this agency had on sale and I called immediately to find out if it was still available. An agent informed me that they had few offers and the landlord was likely to make a decision the following day. I decided to make an offer 3K above the asking price via email, thinking this will be sufficient gesture of how serious I was. The agent emailed back saying I would have to call them to discuss the offer directly. I called back immediately and left a message within five minutes of receiving his email. I left another message the following day and my calls were finally responded in the late afternoon. The agent not only informed me that my offer could not be taken seriously given I have not viewed the property by that point, did not offer me a viewing either. He then tried to convince me that the property was unsuitable for the purpose intended. I found the agent quite rude and assuming in his manners, concerning himself with something that is not his or his agency's business. Very disappointing

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
